Alberta Pasco RN, BScN, MPA, PhD

Alberta is the Research Nurse Coordinator for Fetal Echo Research Stollery department. Stationed at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, she works with Dr. Lisa Hornberger, Dr. Angela McBrien, and Dr. Luke Eckersley in a collaborative role with international sites doing prospective randomized clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies. Prior to joing the AHS in 2009, she worked as the research assistant for Dr. Joanne Olson of Faculty of Nursing and Dr. Janice Morse of the International Institute for Qualitative Methodologies. After completing her PhD at the University of Alberta in 2003, she taught research courses in the Faculty of Nursing then did her internship at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland in 2008. Alberta was the Executive Director of the Philippine Nurses Association prior to her coming to Canada in 1997. With her combined skills in administration, passion for doing research and involvement in the field of spirituality, Alberta finds it a great privilege supporting the team of cardiologists and accompanying pregnant Moms and their fetuses in navigating the health care system. She enjoys reading, gardening, swimming, and exploring North America, Europe, and Asia.

Alyssa Chappell RN, BScN, BSc

Alyssa is coordinating research for the Stollery Cardiac Program and Dr. Andrew Mackie. Previous to joining the SCORE Team, Alyssa has worked as a bedside nurse on the Stollery inpatient cardiology unit as well as coordinating research within the adult cardiac surgery and cardiovascular anesthesia departments at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. She loves combining her pediatric cardiology nursing and research experience together in this role. In her free time she loves spending time with her rescue doggo and renovating her old house.

Rae Foshaug

Rae is the Research Coordinator for studies involving single ventricle patients, all things MedBIKE and additional support within Pediatric Cardiology. She started working at the UofA in 2007 as a laboratory technician in gastroenterology. Her role has grown and transitioned from bench to bedside supporting various research along the way. In her spare time, Rae enjoys all kinds of sports, camping, travel, and spending time with her dog.

Daniella San Martin-Feeney BSc, MSc (Health Sciences)

Daniella is the Research Coordinator for the Transition Navigator Trial (TNT) and the READYorNot CHD study. She is the main point of contact for both clinicians and participants. Daniella has worked at the UofA since 2014 with roles supporting research in the fields of smoking cessation, anesthesia, and pain management in adolescents. In her spare time, Daniella likes to hike with her dog and foster rescue kittens.

Tara Pidborochynski BA, MSc (Edpidemiology)

Tara is the Research Coordinator working with Dr. Conway. She started at the UofA in 2010 as a Research Assistant with Family Medicine, transitioned into the role of Research Coordinator, and ended her position with Family Medicine as Assistant Director. Tara has a BA in Psychology and completed her MSc in Epidemiology in 2013. Tara joined Pediatric Cardiology and the SCORE team in 2017 as a Research Coordinator. Some of her favorite things are peanut butter and her Boston Terrier Porter.
